Abstract
Utafiti huu ulitekelezwa kwa madhumuni ya kuchunguza nafasi ya mshikamano katika kukuza maudhui katika insha za wanafunzi wa shule za upili. Mtafiti alichunguza matatizo yanayohusiana na mshikamano pekee katika insha za wanafunzi wa shule za viwango mbalimbali; wilaya, kaunti na taifa. Wanafunzi lengwa ni wa kidato cha nne wa kaunti ya Murang’a. Kusudi la kuchunguza matatizo yanayohusiana na mshikamano lilikuwa kubainisha chanzo cha matatizo hayo kwa madhumuni ya kupendekeza mbinu mwafaka zinazoweza kutumiwa na walimu pamoja na wanafunzi ili kuimarisha ufunzaji na uandishi wa insha. Nadharia zilizoongoza utafiti huu ni nadharia za Sarufi Zalishi na Sarufi Amilifu Mfumo. Nadharia ya Sarufi Zalishi ilisaidia katika kutathmini ung’amuzi na matumizi ya vipengele vya mshikamano katika insha za wanafunzi. Nadharia ya Sarufi Amilifu Mfumo ilisaidia katika kudondoa na kuchanganua maudhui. Utafiti ulifanyiwa nyanjani pamoja na maktabani. Uteuzi wa sampuli kimakusudi ulitumiwa na shule sita zikachaguliwa. Uchanganuzi wa data ulifanywa kwa kuainisha mada tofauti tofauti kulingana na malengo ya utafiti kisha kuwekwa kwenye majedwali na vielelezo. Uchanganuzi ulitumia mihimili ya umilisi na utendaji ya Sarufi Zalishi na ya maana tambuzi, maana husishi na maana matinishi ya nadharia ya SAM. Mahitimisho yalionyesha kuwa matatizo ya mshikamano huathiri ubora wa insha za wanafunzi. Utafiti huu unanuia kuwafaidi wanafunzi, walimu watafiti na watahini.
