C employees motivation is an increasingly important and demanding task on the part of the management if the organization has to live to its vision statement, effective service for quality teaching. The main purpose of this study was to examine the influence of perceived organizational climate on the motivation of TSC employees in Nyanza Province. The study employed a descriptive survey method. The target population of the study included all the TSC employees in its 14 units in Nyanza province. The sample size included fifty-six employees of the target population. This consisted of four employees from each of the unit. The study recorded a response rate of 95%. The survey universe was stratified into three strata, which were then sampled independently through purposive sampling and simple random sampling. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire which was hand delivered to the participants. The data was analysed through descriptive statistics where frequencies means, standard deviations and percentages were used. Correlation and multiple regression analysis were also conducted with motivation components (Expectancy, Instrumentality and Valence) as the criterion variables. The study concluded that some dimensions of organizational climate influenced the employees' motivation more than others. Job characteristics had the highest influence (43.8%), leadership characteristics 16.6%, organizational characteristics 7.4% while work group characteristics had the least influence (4%). As a whole, it was found out that organizational climate determined 71.8% of the employees' motivation.en_US
