dc.description.abstract | The increasing interest in human resource practices is due to the assumption that employees and the way they are managed are critical to the success of a firm. Small and Medium enterprises are emerging as reliable alternatives to poverty alleviation and employment. They however face peculiar challenges that affect their performance. It has been noted in other studies that they lack performance standard, do not attract appropriately trained personnel, have Poor compensation systems and lack of employee involvement. | en_US |
