dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the problems leading to inefficient records management in Kenya academic institutions. The study aimed at identifying the problems faced by the registries and record keeping offices and in investigating into the sources of these problems. The other objectives was to make recommendations for the improvement of these registries and record keeping offices which could lead to better records management practices. Questionnaires, formal interviews and observation methods were employed in collection of data of this study. Definite practical recommendations were made in the study in relation to the solution of problems leading to inefficient records management in academic institutions in Kenya.en_US
