Abstract
Gender influence on the choice of a degree program was tested. The Holland’s Self-Directed Search was used with 389 third year students at Kenyatta University. The results showed that gender was significantly correlated to the Holland personality types and the choice of degree programs. The results support Holland’s theory that gender predicts the choice of a degree program
