dc.description.abstractThe main purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of emerging strategic issues on the performance of organizations within the banking industry in Kenya. The study also aimed at finding out the extent to which corporate social responsibility, e- banking, strategic partnership; social capital, customer competitor profiling influence the Performance of commercial banks. The study subjects consisted of forty, (40) managers from eight (8) commercial banks operating in the Nairobi Central Business District (N.C.B.D.). The study population consisted of four (4) local state owned commercial banks and four (4) privately/Foreign owned commercial banks. The stratified sampling procedure was used to derive the study sample. A constructed questionnaire was used to collect the data. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the collected data. Recommendations were made to bank managers and other strategic business managers as well as future researchers interested in the field of strategic management.en_US
