We have applied a distorted wave method to calculate the differential cross sections for 2 1S excitation of helium atom by electron impact in the energy range of 50-200 eV. The results are compared with some other theoretical and experimental results. There is one interesting observation - for 60°1scattering angle the Present differential cross section results at 80, 100 and 200 eV impact energies almost coincide with the experimental results.en_US
