dc.description.abstractMisclassification errors in single stage cluster sampling are considered where a binary variable is under study. The expectation and variance of the estimator is derived assuming correlated response errors. It is shown that the level of homogeneity within clusters with respect to the characteristics under study has a bearing on the structure of the errors in the parameter estimates. Asymmetric and symmetric errors are considered in the empirical work.en_US
