Abstract
Changes in liver function tests (LFTs) are normal during pregnancy. However, severe liver disease, although rare,
can occur and must be recognized at an early stage to reduce maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. It is
important to differentiate between normal physiological changes and disease pathology. This review highlights the
important LFT changes that take place during normal pregnancy
