Abstract
Disasters have devastated the long-term development progress of many countries
worldwide. Many ordinary people, like Kenya, have experienced difficulties living and
working in many countries. The physical, economic and political destiny of the people
has been endangered with any emergency or disaster affecting humanity.
The report primarily analysed the provision of emergency recovery resources, the degree
to which disaster relief policies are complied with, the nature of catastrophe response
strategies implemented and the clinic's disaster management resiliency issues. In this
study, a descriptive research methodology was used and based on the philosophy of
emergency management. The analysis showed that the presence of a disaster response
approach is crucial in the prevention of catastrophes because it provides disaster
deployers with the required strategies. The study also found that Kenyatta National
Hospital's emergency preparation infrastructure was inadequate to handle immediate
emergencies. It is also recommended that Kenyatta National Hospital Management and
hospital partners prioritize staff readiness for disaster-related emergencies. Moreover, the
hospital and the government should provide suitable services, such as security devices
used by medical staff, to enable the hospital to harmonize its service and care and to
better handle the victims of a tragedy
