This study sought to determine the challenges of strategic implementation among SACCOs in Nairobi, Kenya. To achieve the main objective, the study was guided by the following specific objectives: determine the effects of top management competence in strategy implementation in SACCOs; establish the effects of communication process in strategy implementation in SACCOs; find out how organizational culture affects strategy implementation in SACCOs; and determine the effects of SACCOs' resources in strategy implementation in SACCOs. The study adopted a descriptive survey. The target population comprised all SACCOs with offices in the Nairobi Central Business District which have operated in the industry for a period of 5 years and above which stood at 96 as at December 2012. The target population of this study was senior management staff in SACCOs. A sample of 39 respondents was used. The researcher used primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected using a questionnaire. The questionnaire was designed in accordance with research objectives. The collected data was then be coded and checked for coding errors and omissions. Data analysis involved two types of statistics: descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.
