The paper focused on players' facial appearance in terms of their mindset using indices such as self-distinction and group consciousness. The study sample was one hundred and thirty two male soccer players who are employed to play professional soccer division 1 and 11clubs. The questionnaire was the main instrument used in data collection while descriptive statistics was utilized in data analysis with chi - square enabling inferences to be made. Study revealed that the need for self-distinction was a determinant for the adoption of facial appearance among elite soccer players.enArticle
