dc.description.abstractEvery organization would like to improve the way it operates, whether that means increasing market share, driving down costs managing risks more effectively or improving customer satisfaction. A quality management system gives organizations a framework that is needed to monitor and improve performance in an area of choice. This study therefore investigated how ISO 9001:2000certification impacts on the performance of Kagwe tea factory company limited .This study is significant in that the findings may help the management of Kagwe tea factory know how ISO 9001 :2000 certification has impacted on her performance on top of adding into the body of knowledge on how tea manufacturing factories benefits from attaining quality management systems certification. The necessary information was attained through questionnaires and interviews. The data collected was analyzed through bar graphs, tables, line graphs percentages and pie-charts. This research is expected to create awareness to the various stakeholders in the tea processing factories on how quality management system(ISO 9001: 2000 ) Impacts on the performance of tea processing factories and help in the decision making process.en_US
