Among the financial and economic management tools available to malaria programs is Value for Money (VFM), a method used to assess whether an agency or organization has received the maximum benefit from the goods and services it both acquires and provides. This document defines the first set of VFM indicators for the malaria program in Kenya and is intended to serve as a guide to policymakers, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) staff, and implementers. The indicators here may be applicable to other developing countries that seek to incorporate similar VFM principles into their malaria programs.
