Institutional Policies on E-Learning: An Evidence-Based Approach
The paper is informed by current approaches to education policy making process in general and in distance education in particular. E-leaning is here understood as a subset of earlier terminologies - among then distance education. The evolution of evidence based approach is surnmarised followed by its application in education policy processes. The discussion is extended to cover policy making process in an institutional framework. The functions of a policy are considered in the context of distance education in general and e-learning in particular.
