The effects of service performance on tourist visitation within Northern tourism circuit Tanzania.
Tourism sector in the world has shown the remmacable growth after international tourist arrival hit record of 1.2 billion, which is the rise of 4.4% over the year 2014 and six consecutive years (UNWTO 2015).One of the four foreing tourists prefer to visit National parks to observe the natural beauty. In Tanzania Wild life tourism continue to attract more tourists due to the attractive National Parks county endowed with. While National Parks Attract more tourists still there is unequal distribution of tourists in Tanzania national parks as the Tanzania International visitors’ Exist survey Report(2013) indicate that 90% of the total tourist visiting the country, prefer to visit Zanzibar and Arusha Parks. Lack of adequate physical and institutional infrastracture, poor marketing strategies and unexpected events such as floods and poahing lead to the poor perfomance of some Tanzania National Parks in term of Tourists visitation. Therefore this comperative study will focus on the supply side performance and tourist visitation in the Nothern tourism circuit tanzania. This study will be carried out in Mkomazi and Tarangire National Parks as they presents other parks. The major porpose of this study is to increase the number of domestic and international tourists in Mkomazi National park and providing relevant literature in the area of study. Objective of this study are Firstly to compare the different marketing approaches employed by Mkomazi and Tarangire National park in relation to tourist visitation, secondly is to determine tourist perception between Mkomazi and Tarangire National parks, thirdly is to identify if there is significance relationship between the tourism infrastructure and the number of tourists visiting Mkomazi and Tarangire National Parks and lastly is to determine the degree of local community involvement towards development of tourist visitation between Nkomazi and Tarangire National parks. Descriptive survey research design will be employed under this study to solicit information, Questionnaires, interview schedule, Focus Group Discussion and direct observation will be used as tools for collecting primary data while books, journals, article, report and magazine will be useful to collect secondary data. Tourists, local community, park rangers and Officer of Tanzania tourist board will be the main target population. Stratified simple random sampling will be used to select sample size. Collected data will be analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively in order to archive the desired objectives; Chi-square, ANOVA will be used in Quantitative analysis and Qualitative analysis will be used to analyze Qualitative data .All ethical issues will be considered in the whole process of this study
