Teacher training at certificate, diploma and university level in Kenya
Teacher training serves as a basis for dissemination of knowledge and skills. Kenya has relatively long history in training Physical Education teachers. The subject being compulsory at most levels of education has necessitated this. The purpose of this paper is to compare the programmes being used at Certificate, Diploma and University levels. By analysis such factors as the aims, objectives, content, hour allocated, staffing, student populations, facilities and equipment, and mode of examination suggestions are made on how improvement can be made at each level.
